The Parks Main Street (TPMS) is pleased to have successfully hosted Mayor Muriel Bowser’s 2023 Art All Night for the communities of Riggs Park and Manor Park
Private spaces located at TPMS small businesses included the parking lot at The VIP Room, the patio and tap room at Hellbender Brewery, the parking lot at Troka Insurance / RobtCo Property Management, the production facility at Unitees Screenprint & Embroidery, and the parking lot for Riggs Cleaners / Hunan Shrimp Boat / Riggs Wine & Liquor.
Public space included Lamond-Riggs/Lillian J. Huff Library.
Festival goers visited small businesses, they shopped, dined, saw local art, and experienced live performances by artists from Riggs Park, Manor Park, and surrounding communities in Wards 4 and 5.

J’Nell Jordan is painting live and have a booth in Riggs Park at Riggs Cleaner / Hunan Shrimp Boat Parking Lot Riggs Road and Chillum Place NE.
J’Nell Jordan is a serial image collector. The things she filters daily within in current culture, history, music and fashion are combined with her love for painting the human figure, and playing with pattern and light.
She was born in 1987 and raised in Northern Virginia. She attended Adelphi University in New York on a visual arts talent scholarship and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2009. She now lives in Washington, D.C. and works out of the Arts District in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Alta Koer (Sierra Koker), a resident of Riggs Park, owner of Alta Koer Art Production will live paint and have a booth in front of Lamond-Riggs / Lillian J. Huff Library in Riggs Park.
Alta Koer Art Production is built on the goal of sharing art from the heart. Creating quality fine art that transports the audience into the joys, trials, and perspectives of the artist. Stories that are affected by but go beyond race and gender into life’s decisions, relationships, mistakes, and what is learned to truly engage the mind.
Visual art is more than something viewed, it is experienced. Alta proves an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction with every order and commission. It’s this standard that allows Alta to grow into the business you trust with all of your artistic needs!
Well known in the Riggs Park community, Shirleta formerly managed the Riggs LaSalle Recreation Center. She is performing in Manor Park at The V.I.P. Room.
A native Washingtonian, Shirleta Settles is known as “Not Just a Voice, but an Entertainer!” Not just a voice because her performances are not limited to only music.
During her performances she has the innate ability to connect and include her audiences of all ages, whether singing, storytelling, drama, spoken word, staff development or as a recording artist. Her experience as a Bandleader and lead vocalist for a 10 piece variety band, Marquise for 15 years has given her the ability to share her talent in a variety of venues and genres (R&B, Jazz, Blues, Pop, and Gospel).
